The second of four children, Seb R. Melchor was born in the Canary Islands, Spain, in October 1971. Despite a childhood watching classic cinema and listening to his father playing the piano, he decided to study and practice Law, and traveled the world with his laptop as his companion. In 2015 he was named European's top-tier lawyer in his field of specialism. Back to his passion, his first short film, Drop-Dead Rich received the Audience Award at the Prague Film School. Before setting up Intemperie, he studied cinema at the New Zealand Film & Television School, where he was selected to direct the end of year short film Maximilian The Great and was invited to film festivals across the world.
