British-born Max Patté based in Wellington, New Zealand, has, for the past 15 years, been creating a body of work that explores the qualities of the liminal spaces between light and colour. To date, this exploration spans sculpture, painting and light art. Max studied at the Wimbledon School of Art in London (1997-2000) and was elected an Associate of the Royal Society of British Sculptors in 2008: however, Max credits his technical ability to work across multi-disciplines to his longstanding connection to the film industry.
His work is held in collections internationally, including the infamous art collection of The Groucho Club in London's Soho and the patron of the arts Sir Ian McKellen's private collection, amongst others.
